NETA Technician (II, III, IV)
Location – California & Nevada – 25% Travel

Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and perform start-up of low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems (up to 500kV).
Conduct testing and maintenance on low, medium, and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers (480V to 15kV).
Perform maintenance, testing, and repair on transformers (45 KVA to 130 MVA, both dry-type and oil-filled).
Test and inspect low and medium voltage cable installations.
Operate high voltage test equipment, including Doble Power Factor test sets.
Provide repair and troubleshooting services for control systems and transfer schemes.
The successful candidate must have/show:
5+ years experience in a related field.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code and other industry standards including, OSHA, IEEE, NETA & NFPA.
Extensive experience with a wide range of high-voltage equipment up to the 230 kV class, with a preference for familiarity with the following or similar: motor control centers (MCCs), circuit breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, and performing startup on switchgear up to the 500 kV class.
Military training or experience in related fields, such as Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, Navy, or similar programs, is also highly valued.
