Traffic Engineer 

Location - Florida

Salaries range from $100k-$150k plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO, Bonus Schemes and ESOP plans.

  • They are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to contribute to their diverse range of projects across Florida. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving transportation systems, a strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from traffic signal optimization to roadway design, and to collaborate with a talented team of professionals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct traffic studies, including traffic impact assessments, intersection analysis, and corridor studies.
  • Design traffic control plans, signal timing plans, and signage layouts to optimize traffic flow and enhance safety.
  • Utilize transportation modelling software to simulate traffic patterns and assess the impact of proposed changes.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on traffic engineering principles and best practices.

 

The successful candidate must have/show:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Florida, or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Must have experience in traffic engineering or related field.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects.
