Roles and Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for roadway construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets based on project requirements and client specifications.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
- Manage all aspects of roadway construction projects, including procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and address concerns.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to clients and management, highlighting key milestones, issues, and risks.
Candidate Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately estimate project costs and identify potential risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of roadway construction materials, methods, and best practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for roadway construction projects.
- Experience in project management and estimation in the construction industry, particularly in roadway projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; however, support is available for candidates to obtain any required licenses or certifications they may be currently missing.
- Proven experience in roadway construction project management and estimation, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with FDOT standards and specifications for roadway construction projects in Florida is a plus.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) preferred; however, support is available for candidates to obtain any required certifications they may be currently missing.
