Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on job sites to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage a crew of construction workers, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and instruction as needed.
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings, and communicate requirements to the crew.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Enforce safety regulations and best practices, promoting a culture of safety among the crew.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked by the crew.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.

Candidate Skills:

  • Experience in supervising construction crews on various types of construction projects, including but not limited to Commercial, Residential and Infrastructure construction projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with construction equipment and tools.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a construction foreman or similar supervisory role.
  • Certification in construction safety (e.g., OSHA 30) is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
