Heavy Civil Superintendent

Location – NY, NJ, CT, PA, MA & ME

Salaries range from $120k-$180k plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO and Bonus scheme.

 

Our Client:

  • I'm excited to announce Venda Search are working with a number of leading heavy civil construction companies in NY, NJ, CT, PA, MA & ME. The companies specialize in large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, utilities, and site development. They're searching for experienced Superintendent to work on their large-scale Transportation projects with local counties and the DOT.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all field activities, including labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, quality specifications, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and equipment mobilization to meet project timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Monitor job progress, resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, and report regularly to upper management.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and safety regulations.

 

The successful candidate must have/show:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
