Heavy Civil Project Manager

Location – NY, NJ, CT, PA, MA & ME

Salaries range from $130k-$200k plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO and Bonus scheme.

 

Our Client:

  • I'm excited to announce Venda Search are working with a number of leading heavy civil construction companies in NY, NJ, CT, PA, MA & ME. The companies specialize in large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, utilities, and site development. They're searching for experienced Project Managers to lead their large-scale Transportation projects with local counties and the DOT

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Oversee contract administration, including scope, change orders, and client communications.
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and resolving any issues.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, engineers, and stakeholders, providing regular updates.
  • Review and approve project submittals, RFI responses, and construction drawings.

 

The successful candidate must have/show:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management software and project scheduling tools
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of construction contracts, financials, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
